Knoxville based artist, Julie Vega created Guajillo Gardenia in 2021. Guajillo Gardenia is an art and fashion jewelry studio that incorporates cultural themes based on her life experiences. Chicano culture, Mexican folk art, and Appalachian influences are present in much of our work. Julie has been creating her own art and jewelry lines for over 20 years. Guajillo Gardenia is based out of rural East Knox County and we work out of our home studio as well as our local maker space. We create jewelry, accessories, art work, and stationery with a combination of hand design, technology, and hand made details and finishes. We aim to create eye catching work with sustainable and non-toxic materials. We offer art and products in a variety of materials such as wood, recycled sterling silver & brass, paper, and more.
